Well I thought I was done posting swim lesson pictures until the teachers thought it would be fun to have the kids jump off the diving board today. The water under the diving board is 12 1/2 feet deep but they had four lifeguards there just in case. When the teachers told the kids to line up by the diving board... I think my blood pressure went sky high instantly. They both did really well though and could even manage to swim to the side of the pool when they were done. They both jumped several times until lessons were over. YIKES!!!

Swimming Lessons
We signed the kids up for swimming lessons this year. (Thanks Pete and Carolyn) They went M-Th last week, and M-Th this week at Munster Pool. Each lesson was 45 minutes long. They both have learned so much in such a short time already. It's been really hard trying to get good pictures of them in the water because it's usually just a picture of water splashing.

Tea Party
Madison decided to throw a tea party and invite her two friends that live across the street from us. She was very busy all morning with the preparations. She washed all her tea party dishes, made placemats for each girl, picked daisies from our garden to put in a vase on the table and even helped me make the sandwiches and snacks. After the tea party they made a craft, watched a princess movie, played "hide the tea bags" (thanks for the idea Sheila) and have been playing school and house the rest of the afternoon.

Fun at the Beach!!
The kids and I picked the PERFECT day to spend at the beach. It was 86 and sunny. We spent most of our time swimming in the water. The kids even let me sun bathe a little while they dug around in the sand.
I will keep taking as many closeup pictures of Madison's adorable smile until those two front teeth come in.
Austin decided we need to buy more sand castle making materials. (Notice the beauty of the steel mills in the background)

Graduation Day
Cousins
Indiana Dunes State Park
Definitely one of our favorite things to do in the summer is visit the Dunes. That is our favorite place to go to the beach, camping and just enjoy nature on the amazing trails. This year we bought the season pass for the park and already used it twice. Austin was our tour guide, as you can see, and Madison was always willing to stop for a quick picture.
Moving on up!!
We are so anxious to get through this whole process of closing on the house. Hopefully by the end of July if all goes well we will be living in our new home. I've decided I don't really like the whole packing process so far. We have so much stuff!!!! Hopefully the garage sale I am planning to have will make us a little money while getting rid of all the junk we don't need. Here is a picture of the outside of the house.
(Don't worry, we plan to get rid of the funny looking pine tree in the front landscaping)
